WinProdKeyFinder is a straightforward, portable app to retrieve, decode or copy your Windows product key.
Because WinProdKeyFinder is portable once you run it, your Windows product key is immediately shown. You can copy it to the clipboard, but it might be nice if you could just export it to text, for example. When you click on "Copy key to clipboard" it will let you know it copied.
If the program fails, you can also decode your key from your DigitalProductId value you'll need to enter your DigitalProductId that you exported from the registry. Decoding from DigitalProductId could also retrieve any lost product keys that use the same format including Halo and Microsoft Office, for example. You can find the key with your id at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.
Once you've entered the DigitalProductId, select your Windows version from either up to Windows 7 or Windows 8 and newer, then click Parse DigitalProductId and your key will be shown at the bottom. You can clear the input to find another key or again, copy the key to your clipboard.
WinProdKeyFinder is free, does what it promises, and is ridiculously small as well. The ability to decode your key from your DigitalProductId value is something we've not seen with the competition and is a welcome feature.
